What exercises do you prefer to start your day?
I have been doing yoga for years, my mom used to teach Kundalini Yoga- the root of all yoga. Although yoga has been my exercise of choice for the majority of 2018 and 2019, I have started to change my routine as my wedding day approaches. Adding more cardio into my daily workouts has helped me shed pounds and de-stress. Here are some of my weekly workouts:
- Rowing 2x week
- Cycling 2x week
- Cardio Barre 1-2x week
- Yoga 2x week
- Riding my beach cruiser bicycle 1x week
My biggest issue lately, in preparation for Chase and my wedding has been comparing myself, my body, etc. to other brides on Instagram, and dropping that habit has been very helpful. I generally will only look at social media for 15 minutes daily, maximum, just to post something about my business. I find that removing social media is the most incredibly liberating thing. And I don’t know who really needs to hear this today, but I really want to emphasize this. The most wonderful thing you can do for your body and your soul is get some sleep. I take my sleep seriously, I am usually in bed by 8:30, 9 PM. I wake up at 5 AM and start my day at the gym at 6 AM. Sleep is so important for your nervous system. That, and of course drinking a ton of water.
